Discovering Puglia by bicycle among ancient seaside villages, peasant landscapes, cities of art, natural parks and lots of crystal clear sea will make your trip an unforgettable experience. Pedalling slowly among its gently undulating landscape you will grasp the essence of all the nuances, scents and beauty that this land offers.
Cycling in Puglia, you'll explore vineyards, coves and stunning coastline along the way.
So saddle up and let yourself be captured, for example, by the immense beauty of the Mediterranean steppe preserved in the Alta Murgia National Park and between jazzi and fortified farms, you will reach the imposing Castel del Monte, a UNESCO site since 1996.
For history buffs just follow the ancient Via Traiana to discover the Archaeological Park of Egnazia and its beautiful coastline.
A little further south, among farms and centuries old olive trees, you will find the landscape of the Dunes Coastal Park with both a wet area and a barren area characterised by blades to welcome you.
Popular pit stops for many tourists are Locorotondo, Alberobello, Martina Franca and Cisternino.
Pedaling further south, starting from Tricase, you will discover all the ancient flavor of Salento along the Via dei Castelli. By letting yourself be carried away by the gentle sea breeze of the east coast, you can choose to follow the Via del Mare and reach Otranto and Punta Palascia, the most eastern point of Italy, Santa Cesarea Terme, Porto Badisco, the Zinzulusa Cave and the fortified village of Castro.
